On Friday, 30 October, Green Neko B6 turned into a lively arena for our spicy chicken ramen eating challenge. The first announcement sparked a huge response: 20 people registered, and 17 made it to the event. Three registrants were unable to attend because of sickness or urgent, unavoidable work.
Sixteen contestants took on the spicy chicken ramen across head-to-head rounds, racing to finish their bowls as spectators cheered them on. Every round brought its own suspense: determined faces, steaming bowls, the heat kicking in, and friends urging their favourites forward. It was a test of pace, focus and spice tolerance—and a brilliant afternoon of shared energy at B6.
The winners
The ₹10,000 prize pool made the finish even more exciting: ₹8,000 in cash and ₹2,000 in Neko Points, redeemable at Green Neko.
- First place — Karthik Chauhan, taking the grand prize after a display of speed and determination.
- Second place — Samuel Kibken, whose strong run kept the competition close.
- Third place — Suchir Anand, earning a well-deserved place among the top three.
What we learned—and what we’re dreaming up next
The response showed us how much people want to take part. We also heard that a Friday start around 4:30–5 PM is hard to make during office hours. For a future edition, we’re exploring a weekend date, a bigger prize pool and a larger sponsor partnership. We’d also love to offer separate women’s and men’s divisions, a vegetarian category and possibly a volume-eating format. These are ideas we’re working toward, not announced plans yet.
Our dream is to grow the challenge into a major Delhi-wide ramen event. Thank you to everyone who registered, competed, cheered, and made the first edition memorable.
