GreenNeko x Billypopzine: Our First Ever Collaboration

Event date : 25th July 2025

This July, GreenNeko opened its doors to something truly special – our very first collaborative event: Billypopzine. Curated and led by two incredibly talented young women from LSR College, New Delhi, the evening turned into a beautiful blend of creativity, conversations, and community.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., our café transformed into a cozy creative hub. Guests gathered around tables, scissors and paper in hand, exploring the art of zine-making. Guided step by step by the girls, participants learned how to fold, cut, design, and ultimately create their very own zines. These little booklets quickly became canvases for self-expression – carrying thoughts on books, art, identity, and even reflections on current events shaping India and the world.

One of the most memorable parts of the evening was the presence of a Delhi University professor, who joined as our guest. Their insights sparked thoughtful discussions on literature, culture, and society. Yet, despite the depth of conversation, the atmosphere stayed light, warm, and engaging.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a GreenNeko evening without good vibes and good food. While creating their zines, people sipped on their favorite bubble teas, slurped bowls of ramen, and nibbled on comforting bites. Laughter, chatter, and the buzz of creativity filled the room as strangers connected, shared stories, and made new friends.

By the end of the workshop, everyone walked away with a handmade zine in their hands – a small, tangible memory of two hours spent learning, laughing, and creating together. For us, it wasn’t just an event; it felt like the start of a journey – one where GreenNeko continues to host collaborations that bring people closer through art, culture, and conversation.

To the brilliant minds behind Billypopzine, and to every single person who joined us – thank you for making our very first collaboration such a success. Here’s to many more evenings of books, art, community, and of course, plenty of bubble tea.

Until next time,
